Ecotourism For Conservation & Conservation For Ecotourism
At HiVOOC, the motto 'Ecotourism for Conservation and Conservation for Ecotourism' isn't just something we say - it's the foundation of everything we do. With every wildlife tour, we actively implement practical conservation projects, ensuring that your trip is not only a memorable experience but also contributes to the protection of nature. How can we put it to action?
Direct Investment in Conservation
A portion of proceeds from each tour will be dedicated to conservation projects, from supporting primate protection patrols, training for local trackers...
Experiential Ecotourism
We carefully design our experiential ecotours to minimize negative impacts on the environment. We adhere to responsible wildlife viewing guidelines and encourage guests to participate in small conservation activities, such as litter picking or tree planting.
Community Partnerships
We believe that conservation is only successful with the involvement of local communities. We create employment opportunities, support sustainable economic development, and raise awareness about the value of nature. We work with communities to develop community-based tourism models, ensuring that they directly benefit from conservation.
Conservation Education
We integrate conservation education into every tour, helping visitors better understand the importance of ecosystems, animals and the challenges they face. Through talks, interactive activities and live guidance from experts, we empower visitors to become conservation ambassadors. We also organize free experiential education programs for families and children every month, to spread the love of nature and the spirit of conservation.
"We believe that by actively and responsibly combining ecotourism with conservation, we can protect the untamed beauty of nature for future generations."

Dr. Tilo Nadler
Dr. Tilo Nadler stands as a pivotal figure in conservation within Vietnam, widely known and respected for his unwavering dedication to primates and forest ecosystems.
His remarkable life has become a source of inspiration for anyone fortunate enough to encounter him. His devotion to the old-growth forests of Vietnam has earned him the esteemed title of 'knight of the old forests of Vietnam,' a testament to his extensive conservation efforts that extend beyond the realm of primate research and protection.
The affectionate moniker bestowed upon him by the Vietnamese people, 'Primate Lord,' carries profound significance, reflecting his central role in the preservation of the country's rare primate species. This title, translating to 'lord of the primates' or 'king of the primates', is not merely a name but a recognition of his vast knowledge, leadership in primate conservation endeavors, and likely the significant successes he has achieved in safeguarding these vulnerable animals. The use of this honorific highlights the deep admiration and respect held by the conservation community and the Vietnamese people for his contributions.

HiVOOC Langur Tracker

Nguyễn Hoàng
Mr. Hoàng Nguyễn is a local wildlife photographer and an elite wildlife tracker at HiVOOC. His deep love for the Son Tra Peninsula and its “Queen of Primates” transformed him from a nature lover into a dedicated conservationist. Known for literally “living on the mountain” to monitor the primates, his ultimate dedication was proven during the Lunar New Year holiday—while everyone was celebrating, Mr. Hoàng was deep in the forest, successfully capturing the first-ever video and photographic evidence of a Red-shanked Douc Langur giving birth in the wild. Through his lens and expert tracking skills, he not only captures breathtaking moments but also inspires international travelers on our wildlife tours to deeply connect with the priceless ecosystem of Son Tra.

Nguyễn Thanh Tú (Tú Voọc)
Commonly known as “Tú Voọc,” Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Tú is a veteran whose life is deeply intertwined with the survival of the endangered Hatinh Langur in Tuyen Hoa, Quang Tri. His profound bond with these rare primates dates back to his days as a soldier. Today, Mr. Tú leads a dedicated local community conservation team, uniquely composed of villagers and former hunters, to protect the langurs’ habitat from illegal poaching. As a legendary local tracker, Mr. Tú and his team work alongside HiVOOC to locate and monitor the primate families, providing global travelers and filmmakers with unparalleled opportunities for primate photography and authentic wildlife eco-tourism experiences.
